Financial Challenge # 5 ... Save!

It takes a lot of effort to save money. Saving money is not something most of us do easily. We have to work hard to spend less and save. Here's a one word tip that'll go a long way in helping us save money… the word is 'waiting'. That's right, that one little word can make a big difference in our financial situations if we choose to do what it means. Is waiting easy, absolutely not especially if we're impulse buyers? What are some of the benefits of waiting …

(1) Waiting gives us the time to be sure that we really want the item instead of just buying out of impulse. You'd be surprised what just 24 hours of waiting will do to a person's reasoning when it comes to spending money. It's frightening, isn't it to think that we'd be so moved by an advertisement or store display to spend money for an item that we never even thought about buying until we walked into the store or saw a commercial on TV about it? It's called impulse buying and it's the leading cause of overspending in America and (2) Having to wait for things instead of getting them when we want them allows us to appreciate them more when we do get them.
